These are the opinions that some of our class members have.


Because bullying in schools is one of the recent problems that we are facing with. I recognized difficulty in solving this problem again, and importance to do so at the same time.


Bullying at schools is serious because it is now one of the serious problems in Japan which we cannot avert. Especially after the case of Ozu in Shiga, which the boy committed suicide because of bullying, the media sticks onto bullying news, and the board of education has become very tense against those issues. Whenever I hear news about bullying, I feel sad, but at the same time, helpless.
I was able to acquire new knowledge about the victims of bullying such as most of them had been bullied at their younger age, more of the boys than girls tend to be involved in bullying and the physical appearances, for example, their heights could possibly become the factor.
Also, not only in Japan, but in the world, to see if there is any differences in educational ways between countries with the high bullying rates and the other.


This issue is so serious that some TV programs and comics deal with it. I'm ashamed that I've not thought about this issue so seriously. It seems strange to me that this issue isn't solved at all though it is taken up on TV or other media almost every single day. Besides, schools become far different from what they should be. I agree with your opinion that bullying is unstoppable, but I think it can be controlled and decreased in some ways. I'm interested in the current situation of bullying in other countries in the world and what they are doing and how they think about it. There must be a lot of information sources we can use. It is a good opportunity for me to consider it seriously.
