Last Friday, we talked about a good or bad website, so today I'll talk about a bad example of website about our controversial issue "Bullying in schools," and my partner Kensuke will do about a good one.

Please look at this website (if you are interested in our blog). I guess you guys may click this if you are intersted in antibullying. Of course, I did. I'm sure that everyone around the world think this website as a bad one. I think so, too. There are some reasons for my opinion.
First, we were so surprised at the amount of information about antibullying. In URL, we can see the word "antibullying," but we cannot see the information about that. Instead of that, there are a lot of advertisements on the left of this site. I think that's too bad. What do you think about it?
Secondly, we cannot contact with the author. It's so important for us to communicate with the author who made the website, and talk about the issue that both he/she and I have an interest in.
Thirdly, there are no reliable information on this page. I've never seen the website like that. As you can see this site, the first impression on this is not so bad because how to put pictures and a color scheme is good. However, the content of this page is not good, I think.
Also it's hard to judge whether the information on the website is true or not, but the ability to do so is required in our life.
When a website owner's domain name expires (because he/ she has not paid money to maintain it), it gets taken back by the issuer of the domain name, in this case, GoDaddy--which is a web hosting company. They put advertisements on the site until the original owner pays his/ her domain name fees or until another person purchases the domain. That's why the name of this domain has no connection with the topic that it seems to be about.
返信削除By the way, if a photo you find has a watermark, it's probably not OK to use it yourself on your website or blog. It usually indicates that it's copy-protected.
