A Podcast I Found

I found a podcast "Teen Talk Radio" and one of the episodes talks about our controversial issue, bullying. This podcast is hosted by Nicole O'Dell, author and youth-culture expert, and discusses a variety of controversial issues sharing ideas with teens or other listeners. I'm ashamed but I've not heard of her name nor this podcast. What I thought good about it, as it is in the title, is that teens talk about the issue. I can often find articles and websites about bullying written by some adults or experts, but it is teens that are involved in this issue directly. I need to know how teens are feeling. This podcast takes about an hour and it's a bit long, but I think it is a very good one.

  1. An hour is quite long for a podcast, but I'm glad you stuck it out and listened to it. Getting the teen perspective, as they are usually in the demographic where the majority of bullying is experienced, is very important.

  2. I think the podcast you found is good because it is a precious chance to listen teens' opinions as you said. about your topic, bullying, i read in the newspaper and saw in the TV before. However, in those articles and TV, there aren't suggestions for solution against bullying. that is a problem, i think. in order to reduce the number of children who are suffering bullying, we have to listen real voices of children and to rethink solutions about it. the podcast you found may be useful for the action. it is a worthwhile podcast to listen even if it takes an hour.

  4. I think the podcast you chose is good because the bullying issue is discussed by teenagers. It is hard for teenagers to show their own idea about bullying openly. Also, it is good opportunity for adults to know what idea of bullying teenagers have. In order to reduce the issue of bullying, the adults should not ignore internal voices from them. Even if the podcast is long, it is no problem because the content of it is good. I hope the number of bullying and suicedes will decrease in the future.
